In the shade of Olympus
Ossa is a mountain in Thessaly, known by the name Kissavos. Located in the northeast of the prefecture of Larissa opposite Mt. Olympus with a maximum height of 1,978m (Prophet Elias). The mountain is divided into two parts by a valley called from the north ”Grand Canyon” and the south ”Big Stream”.
Near Olympus anyone can do sea kayaking on the coast, renowned for its crystal clear waters. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy the beauties extending longitudinally, bays and coves, sandy and pebbly beaches, coastal caves with steep rocks.
Description: We have our meeting from 08:00 to start our tour towards Stomio’s Harbor. If you stay to a nearby hotel picking up can be provided upon request. After preparing the equipment and giving the safety instructions, you will board the one-seated (sit-on-top) kayaks. We are following a course in the coastal rocky zone with our first visit to the natural Lagoon for swimming and exploration. Continuing to the secret passage for dives we do not forget to visit the small Sea cave of the area. A short stop at a nearby beach will get you relaxed and the snack will keep you up for the return.
We offer: Guidance with an experienced guide. Complete technical and safety equipment. Transportation, photos and video. Juice, snack and water.
You should have the following: Swimwear, Sports shoes or water shoes, Towel, Sun protection.
Requirements: Suitable for all ages over 12 years and for people with good mental and physical condition. Parental consent is required for minors under 18 years old. Necessary knowledge in swimming. Minimum number of participants is 4 and max 10.
Cost and Payment: The cost of the activity amounts to 70€ per participant. Payments can be made with Wire transfer, PayPal or cash.
